Throughout the year, SHPE – UMD holds General Body Meetings (GBM’s) conducted by the executive board and attended by the student body. Each meeting is hosted by a different technology or engineering company wishing to engage with our organization by providing discussions, workshops, information sessions, or demonstrations to enrich the professional and academic development of our members.

Through collaboration with each individual company, engaging and creative themes are prepared for each meeting. Themes will be geared towards harnessing the tools required for success in the professional world and will be executed through creative means, in order to make each meeting unique and entertaining. Using this method SHPE – UMD hopes to build the enthusiasm of the General Body and spark interest among current members as well as potential new members.
